Take yourself on a date & discover something new-to-you in my hometown of Memphis.

This is a short list to get you started but keep scrolling down to find another round of fun things to do with children!

  • One of my favorite place to spend an afternoon in Memphis is at the Dixon. And now through 2024, it’s free for all! Whether in the gardens or browsing a gallery, there is always an abundance of art for the senses. Hop across the street to Las Delicias for a Torta & one of their famous margaritas!

  • Whether you choose to stroll Riverside Drive or adventure through Big River Crossing, taking in views of the city at a slower pace is a sure way to rest your soul. Satisfy your appetite with a delicious coffee & brunch at one of my favorite spots: Hustle & Dough in Arrive Hotel on Main

  • Shelby Farms is one of the biggest gifts to Memphians, with acres of wide open space & activities! One of my favorite things to do is pack a picnic lunch and rent a paddleboard on the lake for a few hours (kayaks also available).

  • Memphis has grown it’s number of bikelanes in recent years and there are so many fun places to access safely on two wheels! Edible Memphis recently published this fun route to bike to a delicious brunch at Edge Alley & it ends at one of the best places: MemPops at Crosstown!

  • Ethiopian cuisine is dear to my heart (er, stomach) and my favorite spot, Abyssina’s, is right down the street from Overton Park Shell! Grab dinner to go and bring a blanket to catch one of the many free concerts offered each year!
